My Story
As a graduate from the University of Connecticut in the Human Services field, Maureen Mayo continues to work as a caretaker/companion to the elderly. She serves as a leader on the Board of Directors for Independence Northwest, an agency that helps people with disabilities and continues to participate in a long-term writing group. Maureen shares her home with her two cats, Jack and Nina, and is still a caretaker for a feral cat colony.
